some of the best things - should be said twice.
It's been an interesting week.

I have been offered a new job.  Seems a company is "head hunting" me.

They have approached me three times in the last month.  Strange this it isn't for a high salary paying gig.  My company seems to be having issues with having its employee's head hunted away, now i'm not sure if that says a good or a bad thing about the company.

does it say:

a) we hire good employee's, the industry sees this, thus seeking out our employees.

or

b) we lose all of our good employees because other companies come in and swoop them away with hire salaries and better benefits?

I deem both statements to be true.  Apparently of Purchasing Manager and QCC agree because as of tomorrow they will both be jumping ship to our compeitior.  In a business like the company I work for losing a purchaser, let alone a Purchasing Manager is like cutting off our right arm.  We are a distributor, we buy things daily, we meat comp daily, we quote daily, we can't function without someone in that role. So it will be interesting to see how the next week plays out.  This comes at a time when our CEO fired our VP of sales and we are scrambling to meet customer deadlines, pricing agreements and overall projects.  Good thing a new quarter just started or we'd really be in big trouble.

I have yet to decide on the job offer that was presented to me, as it would add and hour to my day for traveling to and from work purposes.  Making the jont 50 min each way.  I need to know more particulars is all I have told the prespective company, espically specific comission and bonus structure as well as exactly where the salary stands, as it has jumped over the last month with each new approach.  Apparently I'm making a good name for myself in the industry, esp with our very own customers.

It's defiently intriguing to see the inner workings of this process.  I have defiently learned a lot in the last 7 months.

Hopefully I'll learn a lot more to come and make myself into a very valuable commidity.  I may even prusue purchasing though PMAC and a CPP, with supply chain management.  The whole aspect of the industry really sparks my interest.

Now if only I were Bilingual.
